Craft Workshops

Crafts@Dovetail Workshops are one-off or a short series of events, in a variety of hand crafts, allowing you to get creative and ‘have a go’ at something different.

No previous experience in any of the activities is required, as you will be given full instruction and guided through the all processes involved.

The Workshops will be led by experienced tutors/crafters, with the intention of providing an introduction to their particular craft. This in turn may lead you to take a greater interest and build on the skills you have learned.

Instruction will be given in a relaxed and informal atmosphere, in manageable groups, to allow for maximum individual attention.

Projects

There will be a number of Craft Workshops throughout the year, with projects that can be comfortably completed within the time allowed, so as to be able to take home your fully finished item.

Facilities

At the Dovetail Woodworking Spode Works:

Tea/coffee/water will be provided along with biscuits/cake.

For lunch, you are encouraged to bring your own to eat either within the workspace or in the communal seating area.

Free off-road parking available.

Lift access to the Studio/Workshop if required.

Some Workshops are bookable directly with the Workshop provider, if this is the case, please follow the instructions on the specific page.

Please note that every effort will be made to enable Workshops to take place, however, a minimum number will be required for them to run. See individual pages for details.

Group bookings: For bookings of two or more, please get in touch to make arrangements via the Contact page.

Venues

Occasionally, Workshops run by Crafts@Dovetail may take place at venues other than the Dovetail Woodworking workshop at the Spode Works in Stoke.
